Documents are a must-have in every maternity bag. Bring enough copies of your ID, health insurance information and birth plan (if you created one). You will also need the hospital registration forms; some hospitals require records verification before signing in.

2. Slippers and socks
Always keep your toes clean. You should have your slippers on all times, regardless of whether you are strolling or visiting the washrooms. Besides, taking a bath necessitates the use of slippers. Staying in a bed all day can make your body sore. You should have an easy-to-clean pair as the hospital floor makes them dirty easily. Besides wearing socks keeps you warm at all times.

5. Sleeping gowns and wear
Not everyone loves a hospital gown! Carrying an extra sleeping gown provides a good sleeping that is suitable for walking. Do not forget to buy several pairs of undies if you dislike the mesh underwear the hospital provides after delivery.
