The 4 years and 9 months old child would be so ready to join the league of big kids soon. At this age, children are developing too fast and learns so many new things. Here are some of the important milestones they will be achieved at the age of 4 years and 9 months. Have a look:
Weight and height
It is very important that your child is gaining weight and height with other developments. Both the girls and boys are expected to gain 5 to 6 pounds and a few inches in height in their existing weight and height before turning five. Normally a baby girl will have the weight around 36.3 to 44.0 pounds and the height would be around 41.3 to 43.8 inches. The same way a boy would have 37.7 to 43. 2 pounds weight and 41.7 to 44.0 inches in height. Different kids have different timing of growth so give them some time and eventually they will be healthy.
About your baby’s milestone
A preschool baby of age 4 years and 9 months old would be achieving so many milestones before his or her 5th birthday but some of the major milestones are as follows:
• Physical development
Physical development is a major part of a child’s development. Every parent would want to see their children developing physical strength. Your baby will be able to walk and run smoothly. He or she can climb the stairs and will be able to hold big things like ball or doll. They are able to eat their own food with a spoon or fork with some guidance or supervision.
• Emotional development
The kids at this age are kind of emotional. They get attached to several things and remember them. They start to feel things like anger, happiness, or fear.
• Cognitive development
Children of 4 years and 9 months will be able to form ideas in their minds. They will know colors, alphabets, and some counting as well. Kids will have an understanding of their siblings and parents. They can solve some easy puzzles as well.
• Social development
Social development is a big part of a child’s life. Given that your child doesn’t know how to interact and convey his or her feelings to other people, you need to give him or her the opportunity like in school or playground where they interact with other kids and get to know the feeling of social interaction.

The children of this age can eat anything, but make sure what they eat is healthy.

Just be open with your kid and let him or her enjoy things, but don’t pamper them too much.
