Your Toddler At 2 Years 8 Months

Now is the time when your little one is experiencing some fears but enjoys being active physically and energetic. You might not know and feel what your kids might want and what should be the milestones at this age. Read this article and you will get some insight about the growth of your toddler.

Weight and Height
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have made a standard weight and height chart for the kids. The average height of the boy of 32 months should be 36.5 inches whereas, the average height of a girl of the same age should be 36.1 inches.  The weight of a 32 months old boy should be 30.5 pounds whereas, that of a girl should be 29.4 pounds.

Behavior
This is the time when you might start noticing their behavior. The kid will pick the habits. You need to be careful at this time as anything bad you do will stay in your kid’s mind and he or she will do it afterward.

At this point, you will figure if your kid is shy or have a bold personality. It is not about just figuring but also helping your kid to be confident. Don’t try to force them in any activity but try to play with them. Take them out so that they start recognizing new things and explore the surrounding.  At 32 months, they will also start making new friends. They will recognize what they like and what they dislike. This is the time when they will start adapting new things.

Health and Nutrition
A 32-month old child will require iron and fiber in his daily diet. Along with that, calcium is also necessary. Try to add more fruits and vegetables in your child’s diet and see if he likes them or not. Fiber will also help in digestion.

Sleep
Your toddler is at that age where he needs 10-12 hours of sleep. Toddlers are very energetic at this time. They will also require a short nap in the afternoon. Make sure this nap does not extend more than 3 hours. It might disturb the sleeping schedule.

Milestones
The speaking skills of your kid will get better. He will understand your instructions. He will also start saying complete sentences.  At this time, your kid will be active and you will see him go up and down from the staircase and playing all the time.  Your kid will also grow his molars at this age. It might make him a bit cranky.

The alarms
Now your kid is 32 months old. Some things might prove to be a red flag for your little one. Here is a list of things you should take some action about.
• He does not look you in the eyes.
• He is having difficulty throwing a ball.
• If he avoids jumping.
